Jazz and music-related activities:

First serious contacts with photography, under the guidance of Marc Garanger, while drafted in Algeria (1960-1962). Specialised in Jazz photography since 1965 (over 200.000 photos in files, including 80.000 in colour).

Artistic director for the Jazzland club, Paris (1965-1966) : including Ornette Coleman Trio (with David Izenzon and Charles Moffett), Dexter Gordon Quartet (with Art Taylor), Johnny Griffin Quartet (with Art Taylor), Roland Kirk Quartet, Sonny Rollins Trio (with Art Taylor), Cecil Taylor Quartet (with Jimmy Lyons, Alan Silva and Andrew Cyrille).

Produced the Alan Silva's Celestrial Communication Orchestra concert, Radio House, Paris, December 29th, 1970. The band included, among others, Alan Shorter, Lester Bowie, Bernard Vitet (tp), Steve Lacy, Robin Kenyatta, Joseph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Michel Portal (reeds), Joachim Kühn, Dave Burrell (p), Kent Carter (b), Don Moye, Jerome Cooper, Oliver Johnson (dms).

Toured with the Herbie Mann Sextet (France, Germany, 1970), Sun Ra & his Arkestra (France, Germany, 1970, and U.S.A., 1971), and Lionel Hampton & his Orchestra (France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Italy, 1976) as a photographer and an interpreter; and with Dave Burrell Unit (Japan, 2001) as a photographer.

From 1985 till 1991, agent of the legendary Slim Gaillard (from Slim & Slam, and the movie "Hellzapoppin'").
